FIFA World Cup™ 2022 Mode Details
The FIFA World Cup 2022 mode will be available to players who own FIFA23 from November 9th at no extra cost, and will include new players, stadiums, unique faces, tournament commentary, and even dressing rooms. A lot of content has been added in line with the World Cup, so you can feel even more at the event.
Players from leagues not originally included in FIFA23 will also be added, meaning that Japanese national team players who are active in the J-League will be available to use.

Choose from the 32 national teams that advanced to the finals, or from the 15 national teams that were eliminated in the preliminaries. With the team you choose, you can play any stage of the tournament against your friends or the CPU.
- FIFA World Cup™ 2022 Tournament
Play the entire schedule with your favourite national team from the first match of the group stage right up to the final, take part in exciting matches at Al Bayt Stadium and Lusail Stadium, where the final and semi-finals will take place, and lift the trophy with your favourite team.
- Online Tournaments
You can compete in the FIFA World Cup 2022 tournament with 32 players online.
- FIFA World Cup™: Live
Following the opening match on November 20, FIFA World Cup™: Live mode will update with the group and knockout stages as match results begin to roll in. Starting November 21, you'll be able to follow your favorite teams' status in the tournament while playing the match schedule in three different ways:
- Featured Quick Play
- Online Quickplay
You can play the actual matches freely. The ticket-like design is stylish and cool!
- Your FIFA World Cup™
You can play the tournament with the actual results (scores and rankings) of the matches that were actually played. It is also possible to play only the semi-finals and finals, so it is a match mode where you can enjoy what would happen if the results were different from the actual results.
